Hi, my name is Shively. For almost 4 years now I have been on my baby journey. I have always known that I wanted kids. In fact, I wanted 4 my entire life! My partner and I began fertility treatments in search of starting our family in 2020! I got pregnant once from a donor, but that ended in a missed miscarriage at 12 weeks. I was having trouble getting pregnant, so I began fertility medications. After a few rounds of that not working, I began IUI. After three rounds of IUI, we noticed that I had polyps on my uterus. I had my first hysteroscopy surgery to remove the polyps. During this time, my partner was diagnosed with breast cancer. This put a huge damper on our journey and our finances, however she did not want to give up, and time was a losing battle due to my age. Unfortunately, chemo was incredibly hard on my partner and she lost the battle a year ago. I have recently found out that I have polyps again and am scheduled for another surgery. As both her dying wish and my living wish, having a baby would mean the absolute world to us! I am continuing my journey and going through with IVF. IVF is incredibly expensive. After the medical expenses from my wonderful and amazing partners cancer journey, I am a bit overwhelmed. I will never give up until our wish is complete, however any help would be so greatly appreciated. The donor that I am using is her brother. To be able to have a piece of her with me for the rest of my life would be a dream come true and, hopefully, mend my broken heart.
